Practice History
From humble beginnings, our journey began in a modest three-bedroom house with a large mechanic's garage out the back. When the property came up for sale, Peter saw a unique opportunity — the location was perfect to bring his vision of a local veterinary clinic to life. The garage was demolished and replaced with a small, purpose-built clinic, which opened its doors in November 1988. From the very start, the clinic was dedicated to serving the local community, offering care around the clock.
As the years passed, the demand for our services grew, and by 2000, it was clear the original clinic had outgrown itself. Plans were drawn for a new, larger hospital to better meet the needs of our patients and provide a more comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. The original house was carefully relocated to a nearby property, making way for construction of the new facility.
In September 2001, our purpose-built hospital officially opened. Spanning 36 squares, it features a spacious waiting area, multiple consultation rooms, a fully equipped pharmacy, in-house pathology, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dedicated dog and cat wards, and modern surgical facilities. This expansion has allowed us to continue delivering the high standard of care we’re known for — with the same community focus and commitment that started it all.
